Kate Bannon Fear-Free Certified
NORTH RECEPTION SUPERVISOR
CCPDT-KA CERTIFIED DOG TRAINER
With roots in New Orleans, it’s no surprise that Kate has settled here in Austin where the people know how to have a good time and the temperature stays warm. After graduating from LSU, Kate made a leap of faith to pursue a film career in Austin. Between gigs, Kate knew she had to find something more sustainable and was hired on by Karma Dog Training as an assistant trainer and quickly moved up the ranks to start leading classes in 2015. After COVID and classes became virtual, Kate parted with Karma Dog. Knowing the importance of early socialization, she started our very own “Puppy Paw-ty” classes. She plans to keep expanding puppy classes within Paz and continue to grow her knowledge in animal behavior. If you’ve got puppy questions, Kate is your go-to girl.
Growing up, Kate was always surrounded by animals and as an only child, her Golden Retriever became her best friend. Frequently her mom brought home stray or injured animals making compassion a trait learned early on. With knowledge in animal behavior and excellent people skills, it’s no surprise Kate has found a family within PAZ. When she isn’t busy helping people and their pets, Kate enjoys practicing yoga, discovering new music/food, and spending as much time as possible soaking up the sun and water with her pup, Butters. If she isn’t out and about with friends, you bet she is cuddled up at home watching cartoons or horror flicks.
The Professional Dog Trainer CPDT-KA certification requires 300 hours of training experience and passing a lengthy exam testing knowledge and skills in ethology, learning theory, dog training technique, and instruction.
